HOUR()
Extracts the hour (0-23) from a time or date/time value.
HOUR(serial_number)HOUR pulls the hour component out of a time value, returning a whole number from 0 (12 AM) to 23 (11 PM), regardless of the cell's display format.
It accepts a time serial number, a full date/time value, or text Excel can recognize as a time, such as "6:45 PM".
Combine HOUR with MINUTE and SECOND to break a timestamp into its parts, for example when calculating shift lengths or bucketing events by hour of day.
