WORKDAY()

Date & Time

Returns the date a given number of working days before or after a start date, skipping weekends and optional holidays.

WORKDAY(start_date, days, [holidays])

WORKDAY adds days working days to start_date, automatically skipping Saturdays and Sundays; a negative days moves backward instead of forward.

Supply an optional holidays range listing specific dates to also skip, such as public holidays — without it, only weekends are excluded.

The result is a date serial number; format the cell as a date if it displays as a plain number. Use WORKDAY.INTL instead when the weekend falls on days other than Saturday and Sunday.

Arguments

start_date
The date to start counting from.
days
The number of working days to add. Negative values move backward.
holidaysoptional
An optional range of dates to exclude in addition to weekends.

Ten working days after a Monday start date lands two weeks later.
